Machine Shop Office and Delivery Assistant

We are seeking a procurement and delivery assistant for work in our Glasgow and Tompkinsville facilities. This individual will be tasked with two primary roles: working as an office assistant in our Glasgow, Kentucky facility for half the day, and working in shipping and receiving the other half of the day. As an office assistant, you’ll help enter employee timesheets, record job data, and, importantly, learn to help with tasks like material purchasing, entering job quotes, and invoicing customers. In shipping and receiving, you’ll receive UPS shipments daily at our Glasgow location, learn to identify and assign received items to their appropriate jobs in Glasgow, and then load and deliver packages needed in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Next to your administrative roles, you may be tasked with part deliveries to local customers. We would love someone who would like to learn or has experience in the administrative side of manufacturing and is also okay with 1+ hours of driving time per day.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an office assistant in a manufacturing environment
  • Work with machinists and management to identify what material is needed for a given job
  • Learn to receive packages and assign them to their correct department
  • Make deliveries to local customers and issue shipments to those further away
  • Run a 30 minute daily delivery route from Glasgow to Tompkinsville, Kentucky

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills is a must
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets a plus
  • Basic math skills and the ability to see both a bigger picture and fine details
  • Experience in any of purchasing, shipping or receiving a big plus but not required
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (50 pounds)
  • Must be a safe and licensed driver

Service Repair Technician

We are seeking a a highly skilled and motivated individual looking for a fast-paced position within our service department. The ideal candidate for this position would someone who has prior repair skills for equipment and parts which are brought in by customers. This position would need someone who is multi skilled in areas such as welding, industrial maintenance, automotive, agricultural knowledge and other repair techniques. Also, someone who understands OSHA rules and regulations and abides by their safety guidelines to help keep our facility a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
  • Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job
  • Plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manual as needed
  • Respond to service requests and repair products
  • Install and test products to make sure they work correctly
  • Communicate with customers about status of repair completion
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven service experience in the field (2+ years preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or senior service workers
  • Knowledge of industrial repairs preferred
  • Welding and agricultural knowledge is not required but beneficial to have
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Must provide your own tools
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces, and stand for prolonged periods
